WEBAIR SECURITY CENTER
The Webair Advanced Security Feature works by hardening the permissions on your websites to thwart any compromise of your sites/files via vulnerable scripts that may have been installed. Under normal conditions, exploitable 3rd party scripts may lead to damage of your files and account. To address this situation, we are able to place accounts in a 'secure' mode, whereas the web server cannot write to files on the account by default. If your account contains vulnerable scripts, nothing on the account can be modified.
Once you have enabled the security feature, any of your scripts that need to write to any files on the server should be checked as well. You will have to update the permission of those files to 755 via FTP or SSH. It is recommended that you test all scripts once enabling the security feature. If you find your scripts do not function afterwards, please contact Webair technical support so that way may investigate the issue.
You can enable this now by logging into your control panel and clicking on Security Center link. Then click on Webair Advanced Security Feature link to enable on your account. This page will also provide you with some tools to help protect your sites.
In situations where your files may have weak permissions, such as all files with a permission of 777, your account may still be at risk even with the advanced secure mode enabled. You can search for files/directories with weak permissions and enable the Security Feature by logging into your Webair control panel and clicking the new Security Center link.
