Hard drives only last a few years.

Does Webair automatically changeout servers at a certain age?

If not, why not?

We use smartd as well as other monitoring systems to detect hard drive errors before they become a real problem. Once detected, we create a work order to place a new server online and replace the failing one. We find these tools extremely effective proactive systems which have worked in most cases. As with any hardware, drives can be prone to failure without any prior warning. This is why we strongly recommend backups, and/or a failover server for any high availabilty setup.

Whats your webair client ID? I can do a once over of your account and verify the drives as well as your backups.

Yep smartD now works in windows as well, just need to make sure your hardware supports it (which most do). See:
